Universo Paralello, meaning "Parallel Universe" in Portuguese, is more than just a music festival. It's a cultural phenomenon that began as a small New Year's Eve gathering in 1998 and has blossomed into a week-long celebration of music, art, and self-discovery.

The festival's story starts in the mountains of Brazil's Central Plateau. A few hundred people, united by their love for electronic music, came together for the first edition. Three more editions followed in the same location, but harsh weather conditions posed challenges.

Seeking a more welcoming environment, Universo Paralello relocated to the stunning Pratigi Beach in Bahia in 2003. This marked a turning point. The idyllic setting, coupled with the evolving festival concept, attracted nearly 2,000 attendees for the fourth edition.

Since 2011, Universo Paralello has become a bi-annual tradition, solidifying its place as a major cultural player in Brazil and beyond. The festival has grown to encompass over 13 editions, attracting a global audience of over 20,000 people.

While electronic music, particularly psytrance, forms the core, Universo Paralello offers a much richer experience. The festival boasts multiple stages with diverse genres, artistic installations, workshops, and cultural activities. It's a place for self-expression, connection, and exploration.

Universo Paralello goes beyond entertainment. Organizers believe that music and art are powerful tools for personal transformation. The festival fosters a sense of community and aims to leave a positive impact on its attendees.

If you're looking for a festival that transcends the boundaries of music and creates a transformative experience, Universo Paralello is a must-visit.
