KiNK - real name Strahil Velchev - is one of electronic music's most distinctive live performers. Based in Sofia, Bulgaria, he emerged in the mid-2000s with a debut release on the UK label Odori and quickly earned the support of Richie Hawtin, Josh Wink, and Laurent Garnier. He has since released on Ovum, Rush Hour, Rekids, and Running Back, developing a reputation as one of the few artists who sounds genuinely different from everyone else. His approach draws from classic Chicago house, Detroit techno, and raw analogue experimentation - all performed live, in real time, with hardware.

Behind the decks, KiNK is just as compelling. His DJ sets draw from the full spectrum of house - from classic Chicago to raw, analogue-influenced European strains - selected with the ear of someone who has spent years making music with his hands. Playful, warm, and fiercely individual, his selections carry the joy and depth of house music at its best: tracks chosen not just for how they sound but for what they do to a room.
